BONAT Jim Leno Bonat a resident of Moore, OK (formerly of Hen-ryetta), passed away on February 24, 2004 in Guthrie, Oklahoma at the age of 57. Born July 9, 1946 in Okmulgee, OK to Dutch and Louise (Crowder) Bonat. Jim married Judy Brison on February 26, 1966 in Henry etta, OK. Jim was a meat cutter and a member of the First United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his father Dutch, father in law Willie Brison, and a brother in law Danny Brison.

Born on April 15, 1923, to Paul Gladstone Darrough and Margaret Archdeacon Darrough in Oklahoma City, OK, Paul is survived by his wife, Betty Ruth Harbison Darrough of Snowmass Village, CO; his daughter, Diane Darrough of Carbondale, CO; his son Paul G.

(Marvel) Darrough, III of Wichita, KS; two granddaughters, Michelle Luff of Dallas, TX and Virginia Luff of Eugene, OR; three sisters, Anne (Tom) Travis of Wichita, KS; Dorothy (Duke) Logan of Vinita, OK; and Rufhie (O.B.) Johnston, III of Vinita, OK and numerous nieces, nephews and other relations. His parents and sister, Lina (Bill) Koelm preceded him in death. He was a Civil Law Attorney in private practice with the family law firm of Darrough Darrough in Oklahoma City, OK for over 35 years. He was a municipal judge for The Village, OK for over a quarter of a century, was named a member of the Oklahoma State Election Board, and served as Chairman of the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission Board of Review. A past president of the Oklahoma County Bar Association, he was also a member of numerous organizations including the American Bar Association, Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, Oklahoma Municipal League, Oklahoma City Junior Chamber of Commerce, Oklahoma City Men's Dinner Club, YMCA, Rotary, OU Alumni Association and Sooner Club.

Active in politics, he served as precinct chairman, election judge, national convention delegate and Chairman of the Oklahoma County Republican Party. He was also an active member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church. Paul spent his childhood in Oklahoma City. He graduated from Classen High School in 1941.

An accomplished athlete, he was High School State Singles and Doubles Champion in 1941. As a high school senior, he played the world's number one ranked tennis player, Bobby Riggs, in the third round of the US Open. He graduated with a B.S. in Political Science and L.L.B. Bachelor of Law Degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1949.

He was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity serving as Rush Chairman. While at OU he competed in numerous intermural championships winning 18 gold medals in tennis, badmit-ten, racketball, table tennis, etc. He married Betty Ruth Harbison on May 31,1947 at the First Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. They lived in Norman, OK and Norfolk, VA before settling permanently in Oklahoma City until his retirement to Snowmass Village, CO in 1984. Paul was a graduate of the Naval ROTC at the University of Oklahoma.

He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII on the Destroyer, the USS McDonough, and the cruiser, the USS Vincennes in the South Pacific. He was recalled to active duty during the Korean War and served in the Underway Training Unit from 1951 to 1953. While in Norfolk, VA, he was named "Attorney and Counselor, Solicitor, Advocate and Protector of the Western District of Oklahoma" in 1950. He graduated from the US Naval School of Naval Justice and the Naval War College.

He was also named by the Judge Advocate General as "TrialDefense Counsel of the General Courts Martial of the Armed Forces." He served as Head of Naval Intelligence Reserves in a five state area. He retired with the rank of Captain from the Naval Reserves, Commandant Eighth Naval District. Paul was known for his strong sense of loyalty, duty, and integrity. An avid fan of Oklahoma University football, his absolute total recall of specific plays and games was amazing. He was an avid sportsman, hunter, and fisherman.

He was a loving family man with a wonderful sense of humor and wit. He reveled in the company of family and friends. He was never at a loss for words, nor hesitant in stating his opinions. He was a proud veteran who believed in the basic principles of justice and honor. He was a master storyteller and his many reminiscences will be missed.

Shawnee NEWTON, Oleta Chambless, 87, died Sunday. Services 2 p.m. Saturday BRADFORD Dr. William Rankin Bradford, teacher of love, life and honor passed to be with his heavenly fa in Kansas City, MO. He married No- rah Virginia 1 Berry in 1926 and they were married 67 years.

Oliver worked for Folgers Coffee Co. for 23 years, where he eventually became General Sales Manager. Oliver and Norah moved to Oklahoma City in 1947 and established Berry Oil Company, Inc. with his partner R.H. Sailer, as well as Sailer Warehouse and Royal Supply Co.

He continued in these businesses until his retirement in 1984. During later years in business he acquired real estate in what was to become Bricktown. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church for 55 years where he served on the staff as the Coordinator of Senior Adult Programs and created a volunteer program for evangelism. Oliver was a member of the Mr. and Mrs.

Class and served as President. He also served as a Deacon, an Elder and as President of the Board of Trustees. He was a long-time member of Twin Hills Golf and Country Club. Oliver served as President of Residents, an association at The Fountains at Canterbury. Oliver married Gayle Sanger Berry in 1995 and they resided at Canterbury until his death.

He is survived by his loving wife Gayle; daughters Susan Berry Mount of Norman, Sally Moseley and son in law Jim of Houston, TX; special children Marty McCharen of Edmond, Nancy Smart of Dallas, and Bucky Sanger of OKC. He was "Papaw" to grandchildren Norah Erb and Ken of Norman, Susan Stackhouse and David of Vashen Island, WA, Mariann Lawson and John of Norman and Jeb Moseley and Paula of McAllen, TX; 8 great grandsons and 2 great granddaughters. Oliver loved his family and nothing brought him greater joy than a family gathering. As the head of the family, he demonstrated a loving example of a positive work ethic. Oliver was a well respected man who was known in the community as a kind, considerate, gregarious person.

He will be greatly missed by friends and family. The family will receive friends at Hahn-Cook Funeral Home on Friday from 4 until 6:30 pm. Funeral services will be 2pm, February 28th, 2004 at Westminster Presbyterian Church with interment in Rose Hill Burial Park. He was born November 29, 1917 to Grover Cleveland Bradford and Laura Rookk Rankin Bradford in Pirtle, OK. He was a graduate of Durant High School, Southeastern State University, and Baylor School of Dentistry. He served his country as a Lt. Commander in the Navy during WWII.

He married Feme Edwards September 29, 1941 in Boston, Mass. He practiced dentistry in Durant for over 50yrs. He was a member of the American Dental Association, Oklahoma Dental Association and the Rotary Club for over 50 years. He was a member of The First Presbyterian Church of Durant where he served as an elder and a deacon. His Rotary Club honored him as a Paul Harris Fellow.

He was selected as Outstanding Alumni at Southeastern State University and appointed to and served on the Board of Regents for Oklahoma Colleges 1973 to 1984, serving as President while on the Board. His parents and one grandson preceded him in death. He is survived by Feme his loving wife of 62 years, daughter Laurel Kaye Maloy and husband Richard of Edmond, son Garry William Bradford and wife Rebecca of Corpus Christi, TX, seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
